LEGE Nr. 133 din 08.07.2011 privind protecţia datelor cu caracter personal

Articolul 3. Noţiuni principale

Termenii şi expresiile utilizate în prezenta lege au următoarele semnificaţii:
date cu caracter personal – orice informaţie referitoare la o persoană fizică identificată sau identificabilă (subiect al datelor cu caracter personal). Persoana identificabilă este persoana care poate fi identificată, direct sau indirect, prin referire la un număr de identificare sau la unul ori mai multe elemente specifice identităţii sale fizice, fiziologice, psihice, economice, culturale sau sociale

Din anul 2026 va fi pusă în aplicare o nouă lege privind protecția datelor cu caracter personal

În Monitorul Oficial din 23 august curent a fost publicată Legea nr.195 din 25 iulie 2024 privind protecția datelor cu caracter personal. Această lege va intra în vigoare la 24 de luni de la data publicării, respectiv, la 23 august 2026, iar atunci urmează a fi abrogată Legea nr.131/2011.

Registrul de evidență al operatorilor de date cu caracter personal urmează a fi lichidat

Centrul Naţional pentru Protecţia Datelor cu Caracter Personal (CNPDCP) informează, că în conformitate cu prevederile Legii nr. 175 din 11 noiembrie 2021 pentru modificarea unor acte normative, care va intra în vigoare la data de 10 ianuarie 2022, se exclude obligația operatorilor de date cu caracter personal de a notifica CNPDCP.
