Moldova va participa la Conferința ONU HABITAT III

În Republica Moldova în anul 2014 erau înmatriculate 694119 autovehicule, inclusiv 512561 autoturisme. Numărul de automobile la 1000 de locuitori este de 195 în medie pe ţară şi de 335 în municipiul Chişinău. Aceste date se regăsesc în Raportul național, ce urmează a fi prezentat de Republica Moldova la Conferința ONU cu privire la locuințe și dezvoltarea urbană durabilă, HABITAT III, care se va desfășura la Quito (Ecuador) între 17–20 octombrie 2016. În Raport se menționează că volumul total al transportului de mărfuri şi pasageri creşte continuu şi totodată, se înregistrează schimbări de structură privind modalităţile de transport. Astfel, scade traficul transportului feroviar în favoarea celui rutier. În perioada 2000-2014 traficul de mărfuri cu transportul auto a crescut de patru ori iar indicii parcursului de pasageri cu transportul public auto s-a dublat. Totuși, concluzia care poate fi formulată în baza acestor date este că Moldova nu se confruntă cu congestii la trafic, frecvente în condiţiile unei urbanizări rapide. Însă are problemele sale specifice privind traficul rutier. Și anume, densitatea reţelei rutiere de 314 km pe 1000 km pătrați şi 2,6 km la 1000 de locuitori. Această densitate, ar putea fi considerată rezonabilă pentru o ţară ca Moldova. Însă după o lungă perioadă de proastă întreţinere multe drumuri sunt degradate. Doar 26% din drumurile naţionale şi 22% din cele locale au o stare tehnică bună. Plus la aceasta structura planimetrică a oraşelor mici din Moldova s-a format în conformitate cu planurile urbanistice, fără prea mari constrângeri privind necesitatea păstrării tramei stradale istorice. Astfel, parametrii reţelelor de transport corespund dimensiunilor acestor oraşe şi intensităţii actuale a traficului rutier. Raportul național la Conferința Organizației Națiunilor Unite cu privire la locuințe și dezvoltare urbană durabilă (HABITAT III) a fost elaborat de către o Comisie specială, aprobată de guvern și este publicat pentru consultări publice de către Ministerul Dezvoltării Regionale și Construcțiilor. Conferința HABITAT III este prima conferință de nivel global privind locuințe și dezvoltarea urbană durabilă, după o pauză de peste 20 de ani, fiind o oportunitate oferită țărilor membrilor ale ONU, de a discuta și de a trasa noile căi și răspunsuri la provocările de urbanizare.
