Republica Moldova a semnat Carta Internațională a Energiei

Republica Moldova a mai făcut un pas care reconfirmă opțiunea de integrare a acesteia în Uniunea Europeană și în piața energetică europeană. Vicepremierul, Stephane Bride, ministru al Economiei, a semnat, ieri, la Haga, Carta Internațională a Energiei. Semnarea documentului a avut loc în cadrul Conferinței ministeriale privind Carta Internațională a Energiei, desfășurată în perioada 20-21 mai la Haga (Olanda), cu participarea miniștrilor energiei, ai afacerilor externe și ai comerțului din circa 80 de țări, precizează un comunicat de presă al Ministerului Economiei. Acest parteneriat este un instrument important pentru noi, cu ajutorul căruia piața energetică națională va deveni treptat o parte a pieței energetice europene. Abordarea strategică față de Tratatul Cartei Energiei este o cale comună pe care noi o explorăm, a menționat Stephane Bride. De asemenea, Stephane Bride a menționat prioritățile strategice ale Guvernului Republicii Moldova în acest sector, printre acestea enumerând consolidarea statutului de ţară de tranzit pentru energia electrică şi gazele naturale prin consolidarea bidirecţională a conexiunilor de transport și valorificarea capacității comerciale și de exploatare a capacităţii interne de generare a energiei electrice. Aceste priorități se regăsesc și în textul final al Cartei Internaționale a Energiei, acceptată și semnată de partea moldovenească în cadrul reuniunii de la Haga. Principalul obiectiv al Cartei Internaționale pentru Energie este de a crea o platformă guvernamentală pentru a aborda provocările energetice actuale, pentru a promova cooperarea pe termen lung în domeniul energiei eficienţei energetice. Scopul Cartei este de a dezvolta potenţialul energetic, de a promova și proteja investițiile în acest sector şi de a asigura securitatea energetică. La finalul Conferinței ministeriale, pe 21 mai va fi organizat un Business Eveniment de nivel înalt pentru directorii instituțiilor energetice internaționale, dedicat investițiilor în energie. Din partea țării noastre la acest eveniment va participa Mariana Botezatu, șefa Direcției generale Securitate și Eficiență Energetică a Ministerului Economiei.
