Guvernatorul Băncii Naționale susține că au fost făcute calcule privind naționalizarea Băncii de Economii, așa cum au propus liderii coaliției de guvernare, însă acestea indică că o asemenea măsură ar costa mai mult decât lichidarea băncii. Totuși, o decizie finală ar urma să fie luată după discuțiile cu Parlamentul și Guvernul. Sunt făcute niște calcule, dar în mod cert, naționalizarea băncii ar costa mai mult decât lichidarea ei. Pentru lichidarea Băncii de Economii este nevoie de a avea niște măsuri de pregătire din partea Guvernului pentru a nu permite perturbarea achitarea pensiilor și altor plăți sociale. Noi suntem gata să luăm decizia, pentru că riscuri suplimentare pentru sistemul bancar nu mai există, a declarat Dorin Drăguțanu pentru Jurnal TV. Totodată, guvernatorul BNM a subliniat că decizia în pirvința Băncii de Economii va fi luată în urma discuțiilor între reprezentanții Băncii Naționale și Guvernului, dar și ai Parlamentului. Agora precizează că, acum o săptămână, a avut loc ședința consiliului Alianței Politice pentru o Moldovă Europeană. În urma acesteia, liderii celor două formațiuni - Vlad Filat și Marian Lupu - au declarat că Banca de Economii va fi naționalizată și nu lichidată așa cum a propus anterior premierul Gaburici și speakerul Andrian Candu.
