Finanțările pentru programul Prima Casă au fost suspendate, a anunțat primarul Dorin Chirtoacă în cadrul emisiunii În Profunzime de la Pro TV. Potrivit edilului, programul trebuie renegociat, întrucât a fost modificată rata dobânzii, conform deciziei Băncii Naționale. Avem dificultăți, din cauza ultimelor evoluții de pe piața financiară. Când Banca Națională a ridicat rata dobânzii la 13,5%, asta s-a dus peste 10% cât era în prezent rata la programul Prima Casă și cumva a oprit tot ce ține de acordarea de noi credite. Acum lucrurile trebuie renegociate și chiar i-a pus în dificultate pe cei care au luat credite, a declarat Dorin Chirtoacă. Primarul a spus că inițial acesta a fost un program de construcții, iar apoi s-a transformat într-un program de finanțare. Adică noi Primăria garantăm pentru cei care vor să ia un credit pentru procurarea unei locuințe, cu o dobândă mai mică. Sunt câteva sute de familii care au beneficiat de apartamente, a adăugat șeful administrației locale. Programul Prima Casă a fost lansat de primăria municipiului Chişinău în 2010 şi permite tinerelor familii, să achiziţioneze o locuinţă obţinând credite ipotecare pe termen lung şi în condiţii avantajoase prin intermediul unei bănci comerciale. Pe parcursul programului, întreprinderile selectate de primărie nu au finisat construcția la niciun bloc locativ, iar în cadrul proiectului au fost contractate mai puțin 200 de credite ipotecare. Agora precizează că Banca Națională a decis în luna februarie că rata de bază va fi majorată cu 5%, până la 13,5%. Utilizarea acestui instrument are ca scop atragerea de noi depozite la băncile comerciale în valută națională, după ce leul moldovenesc s-a depreciat puternic în luna ianuarie - februarie, față de dolarul american și moneda unică europeană.
