Declaraţia a fost făcută vineri, 19 mai, în cadrul unei prelegeri la Academia de Studii Economice (ASEM) de Prim-ministrul Pavel Filip. Totodată, premierul consideră că pentru îmbunătăţirea esenţială a calităţi vieţii în Moldova nu ne-ar ajunge nici o creştere de 100% a PIB-ului. Potrivit acestuia, „s-ar părea că o creștere economică de 4,5%, înregistrată în anul 2017, înseamnă mult, dar aceasta trebuie comparată cu PIB-ul total”. Odată mi s-a întâmplat să iau cunoştinţă de un studiu care analiza problema cauzelor bogăției și sărăciei în diferite țări. Acolo erau prezentate multe analize, potrivit cărora nu contează cât de mare sau mică este țara, pentru că există țări sărace mari și ţări mici, dar bogate. Aceeași situație este şi cu resursele naturale. Concluzia este că țările bogate sunt cele unde funcţionează supremaţia legii şi unde este mai puțină corupție. Aceasta este piatra de temelie pentru o ţară care pretinde la titlul de dezvoltată, a spus Pavel Filip. De asemenea premierul a menționat că, după stabilirea supremaţiei legii şi combaterea corupţiei, „fiecare țară trebuie să aleagă un model de dezvoltare economică, de care să se conducă în viitor”. Pavel Filip consideră că prioritară pentru Moldova trebuie să fie industria tehnologiei informației (IT), în acest sens fiind elaborată o bază legislativă pentru deschiderea parcurilor respective. „De la intrarea în vigoare a acestei legi la începutul anului 2018, numărul rezidenţilor parcului a depăşit cifra de 170. Sunt sigur că vom prinde „peștele cel mare”, deoarece există o mulțime de companii interesate să adere la parcul IT”, a afirmat Prim-ministrul.
