Ar trebui să fie o decizie foarte ușoară să investești în Moldova, date fiind localizarea și deschiderea pieței. Dar aici ajungem la chestiunea transformării: statul de drept, sistemul de justiție, corupția endemică, probleme care încă există, a declarat șeful Delegației Uniunii Europene la Chișinău, Pirkka Tapiola, în cadrul unui interviu pentru Agerpres. Acestea ar fi și cele mai mari probleme pentru economia Moldovei, declară Tapiola: Aș spune că sunt cele mai mari probleme, deoarece atunci când un investitor vine undeva se uită la mediul de afaceri. Moldova crește pe piața bancară mondială și în privința indexului de afaceri, dar există în continuare aceste probleme structurale. Pentru mulți investitori, ele vor continua să reprezinte obstacole. Totuși, acestea nu sunt unicile - există și alte domenii - liberalizarea comerțului și a serviciilor. De pildă, în domeniul IT există un imens know-how moldovean de bună calitate. Susținerea antreprenoriatului va fi foarte importantă pentru ca aceste companii să ajungă să lucreze pentru piața UE. S-au întâmplat lucruri bune la început, dar bineînțeles că potențialul este departe de a fi epuizat. Este nevoie de reforme reale. Succesul Moldovei ar însemna succesul relației noastre, un succes pe care să îl simtă și cetățenii. Mai trebuie făcute multe lucruri pentru a dezvolta atractivitatea și, să sperăm, pentru a aduce o parte din imigranți înapoi acasă, oferindu-le speranța de a putea investi în propria țară și dorința de a face parte din eforturile de construire a ei, a mai declarat oficialul în cadrul interviului.
