În interviul pentru portalul internaţional Global Markets, guvernatorului BNM Sergiu Cioclea, citat de presa moldovenească, a declarant, că acţiunile celor trei cele mari bănci din Moldova (a căror cotă de piaţă depăşeşte 50% ,vor fi vândute până la sfârşitul anului 2017. „Purtăm discuţii cu potenţii investitori şi astăzi sunt mai mult ca sigur că acţiunile a două sau trei bănci din ţară vor fi vândute până la sfârşitul anului 2017”, a spus Cioclea. Anterior, referindu-se la vânzarea pachetului de 40% de acţiuni ale celei mai mari instituţii financiare din ţară – „Moldova Agroindbank (MAIB), care deţine o cotă de piaţă de circa 30%, el a exclus situaţia că, din motive tehnice, termenul de vânzare publică a acţiunilor acestui emitent ar putea fi prelungit. Potrivit bancherului, în această situaţie, Comisia Naţională a Pieţei Financiare va fi nevoită să prelungească termenul de plasare a pachetului de acţiuni ale MAIB, care expiră la 26 iunie 2017. Al doilea pachet de acţiuni, deţinut anterior de acţionari netransparenţi care au pătruns la „Moldindconbank” (MICB) fără autorizaţia BNM, în mărime de aproape 84%, de asemenea, este pregătit pentru vânzarea publică.
